Safety Concerns About the Pfizer Vaccine: The Pre-Licensure Data and Anaphylactoid Reactions in the UK

  • One dose is less reactogenic than two
  • Reduced limitations on patient compliance (patients don’t have to return for a second dose of the vaccine in 21 days)
  • You can immunize twice as many people with the same amount of vaccine, which means you can reduce the force of infection much more rapidly than with a two-dose regimen, even if a single-dose regimen is less effective
